The users of the the facilities agree...

a. To absolve the parish of responsibility in the connection with personal injury and/or the loss or damage of any personal property during the use of the hall.

b. To be responsible for the repair of any damages to the building and to repair and/or replace any equipment lost or damaged during the halls use.

1. Limit use of the facilities to agree upon areas.

2. The use of the halls, as well as the Parish property is permitted only with prior approval and receipt of signed contract.

3. The use of alcoholic beverages on church property by rental groups is restricted, except for beer and wine, which may be served with meals or receptions with prior approval. Prior approval by the Building and Grounds committee is required.

4. Parish equipment may not be removed from the building. Church supplies and ongoing Church projects are to be left untouched.

5. No smoking is permitted inside the buildings.

6. Any and all signage to promote events must have prior approval.

7. No helium balloons are permitted in the hall.

7. Users shall remove all sign and decorations placed inside or outside the hall immediately upon conclusion of the event or use.

8. The facilities must be left in an orderly condition, with tables cleared and wiped clean, thermostats turned down to 55 degrees, windows and doors locked and lights out.

9. Adequate adult supervision is required at all times when activities include youths.  Top

Rental Payment Policy

When making any payments, please include a separate check for the custodian/sexton. Mail both checks and signed contract to the First Parish Church, c/o Office Administrator, as soon as possible, but no later than one week before the event scheduled. Please be sure to note the functions and dates on the check.

Cancellations within 4 days of the scheduled event will be subject to a $25.00 cancellation fee.

The First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church welcomes the use of its fully accessible facilities for weddings, and other rites (Baptisms, Funerals, Memorials) by both members and nonmembers of this church. The church is a traditional New England style church, which seats up to 200 people. Our hall, located directly across the street, is available for receptions. More information is available upon request.

No tacks or pins may be used to secure any floral arrangement or other decoration.

There will be no rice, confetti or other such substance thrown inside the church. Such customs most appropriately follow the reception in the parking lot.

All fees are to be paid separately at the time of the rehearsal, or, if there is to be no rehearsal, at least 24 hours prior to the time of the ceremony. A $200 deposit is required at time of booking, made out to First Parish Church.  Top

There is approximately a 50 space off-street paved parking lot located across the street from the church and an additional rear unpaved parking lot. The Buildings offered for rental both have ramps to make them handicapped accessible.
