RE Classes for Children

Welcome to our Community!

Rev. Dan 400x400

Thank you for your interest in our life-span Faith Development programs, especially Religious Education (“RE”) for Children and Youth.

We understand that many families may feel a sense of obligation to attend church whenever they can- and we certainly want to encourage the discipline of spiritual growth in all of us, but it is clear that participation in a religious community is only one option among many choices. We know that a quality, worthwhile RE program is an essential element of healthy Ministry to Families, so we commit to provide that kind of program for children and youth AND adults of all ages.

In our family’s experience of RE when our children were younger, and later in my seminary training, I was challenged to actively participate as a teacher with several groups of children and youth from the primary grades through college, alongside my work with men’s groups. I found that my collaboration with other adults in leading those groups helped me grow in Spirit while I became much more connected to the “students”, other teachers and families. My life partner Nina tells me of the joys and the “growth experiences” she continues to find with children AND her deep sharing with other women in exploring and owning their own feminine spiritual identity.

As you get to know us, we sincerely hope you will be in ongoing conversation with me and with our highly-qualified, energetic professional RE Director, Dr. Kate Sullivan, not only about the needs of our younger generation, but also to find appropriate opportunities for your involvement in our co-operative Ministry.

We all can discover “hidden gifts” if we can choose to make the time available. We also recognize that what we do on Sunday morning is only one aspect of our overall Ministry, so we hope you will consider selecting from the wide variety of other Family and Adult programs to enrich your personal life and engagement with our Community.

Kate & I invite your participation and hope to have an opportunity to get to know YOU better as we build and maintain and strengthen this House for Hope for ALL of us.

In continuing faith and hope for greater wholeness, “Rev.Dan” The Reverend) Dan King, Minister [781-936-8099, email revdanking "at" aol.com].
