Blessed with many talented musicians and vocalist, the First Parish UU  Church has a dynamic music program enriching all ages of the congregation.  

Our Music Ministry works in collaboration with our Music Director, our Minister and our Religious Enrichment Director to help to create a spiritual atmosphere during the Sunday Service.  We are fortunate to have an active choir and also many talented musicians in our congregation to provide a variety of music during a service.  We have an in-house band with a wide repertoire who are ready and willing to fill whatever need arises and also several solo instrumentalists who perform throughout the year.  The Music Committee meets once a month with the Worship Committee and the Minister where we work together on ways to lead the congregation through a worshipful experience for all.  We have found that the congregation values the musical part of the service to provide an atmosphere for this experience.  The vision of the music committee is to contribute to the "spiritual health"  of the congregation. In conjunction with the  Music Director, the committee  is dedicated to continuously improving and evaluating the effectiveness of  the program.

Our other activities are planning the Music budget for the year, evaluating the effectiveness of the program, maintaining the organ and the two pianos in the meeting house and holding one or two fund raisers during the year.
