From the Director of Religious Enrichment...
Welcome to a new year of Religious Education at the First Congregational Parish Unitarian Universalist in Kingston!
Here at First Parish, creating a sense of belonging within our faith community is central to the ministry of our church. We strive to assist each child develop a sense of themselves as spiritual beings, to learn about and embrace a UU identity, and to develop a reverence for the sacred and all of life. From the spiritual "wondering" that our youngest children experience in our Spirit Play classroom, to the deep discussions of our older youth about the nature of faith, belief and religion, our Religious program for children and youth provides a safe and nurturing place for spiritual growth at all levels.
This year at First Parish, our goal is to help all of our children and youth develop a strong sense of connection to our UU faith and values, to learn about our Unitarian and Universalist heritage, and to create and deepen connections with peers and adults in our blessed faith community.
Please take a few moments to read about our programming, behavioral expectations, and other important items. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions, concerns or ideas about our program here at First Parish. I look forward to a spiritually enriching year for all of us!
Kate Sullivan,
Director of Religious Education
