When you decide to explore our congregation, whether for Sunday morning or any
of our variety of activities, YOU and your interests
and needs are important to us. But you may also have questions about US.
The First
Congregational Parish in Kingston
is a dynamic group of human beings of all ages who have come together to share
our individual spiritual journeys toward wholeness and greater understanding, to
deal with the mysteries of our common existence, and to make a positive
difference in the world, for ourselves and our families, for our community in
Southeastern Massachusetts, and in the interdependent web of all beings.
Throughout
our existence, and as an article of our faith, Unitarians and Universalists have
evolved through a democratic process to become a non-creedal, inclusive
progressive religious community of world-wide scope and consciousness.
We are
intentionally welcoming of all ethnicities and identities, and individuals and
families of all descriptions, adults, youth, and children, who seek to promote
health and wholeness in themselves and the world.

A
‘born’ U-U Remembers 50 Years Ago”
The “Alternate Program” chairman asked what I recall from
attending this church 50 years ago:--- I remember a comforting sense of elitism
& emancipation, (--Not a smug, “smarter-than-thou”- and certainly unexpressed in
the pulpit.) That sense of freedom was taken for granted...
